Mamushis, or Asian moccasins, are heavy bodied pit vipers from Asia. Little resarch has been done on the venoms of these snakes, with the exception of G. blomhoffii. Thus, venom strength is largely a guess based on that of G. blomhoffii and the general lack of recorded human fatalities.
