Pristichampus lived in the Eocene of North America and Europe. It was highly adapted to life on land, going so far as to have feet more hooflike than webbed for better running. It had steak-knife teeth similar to those of modern goannas and the ancient predatory theropod dinosaurs.
Pristichampus was known to reach Medium size, but may have occasionally grown larger.
