Morelet's crocodile is a small crocodilian found in Central America. It inhabits freshwater areas, including rivers, ponds, and swamps. In the dry season, it digs burrows for shelter. Hunting for skin and meat, as well as habitat destruction, has imperiled this species in modern times.
The largest Morelet's crocodiles can get to Medium size, most are smaller.
