The African linsang has a long, slender body, short legs, long neck, long tail, and a long muzzle. They are excellent climbers with retractile claws. African linsangs are omnivores that eat fruit, nuts, arthropods, eggs, and young birds. Theya re found in dense forests and jungles of central Africa. Despite a similar appearance, African linsangs are not closely related to the other group of animals called linsangs.
