Enaliarctos was a primitive seal. It's cheek teeth were adapted for slicing meat, unlike modern seals. It probably could not eat underwater, and would need to take its prey to shore to consume it. It swam with its front flippers like the eared seals. Enaliarctos could be found on the Pacific coast of North America in the late Oligocene and early Miocene.
