Percrocutids in GURPS
The percrocutids are an extinct group of feliform carnivorans which are similar in anatomy to modern hyenas. They probably had similar lifestyles, although those in the fossil record are considerably larger than modern hyenas.
- Percrocuta lived in Eurasia during the middle Miocene to late Miocene, and Africa from the middle Miocene to late Pliocene.
- Dinocrocuta lived in Asia during the middle Miocene to late Miocene, and Africa in the middle Miocene. It would have been larger than modern lions.
