Gray foxes are small canids from North and Central America, and the very northern rim of coastal South America. They have a grizzled gray back and face, red legs, shoulders, flanks and ears, and a white throat and underside. They are agile little creatures, and among the best tree-climbers of all extant dogs since their curved claws allow them to grip into bark and wood. These foxes are omnivorous, eating rabbits, rodents, birds, insects, and fruit.
