Pygmy Hippopotamuses in GURPS

Choeropsis liberiensis

The pygmy hippo is a mid-sized creature of dense jungles. They spend the day hidden in rivers, and venture out at night to feed on undergrowth and fruit. Pygmy hippos live in small family groups, typically mated pairs or mothers with calves. In modern times, pygmy hippos are found in a few small remnant ranges in the Congo. In prehistory, several similar, closely related species lived on Madagascar, and went extinct no earlier than c. 1000 years ago.
