Gazelle

Gazella sp.

The gazelles are a group of graceful and fast running antelope that inhabit dry open areas or brush in Africa, India, Arabia, and much of upland and desert Asia. They are alert animals that run at the first sign of danger, trusting to their speed and agility to flee predators. They form herds whose size varies with species and location, but can range up to thousands of animals at a time. Dominant males hold territories during the breeding season; otherwise males move about in small bachelor herds.
