The basking Shark in GURPS

The basking shark is an immense filter feeder. Harmless, it is often observed slowly swimming near the ocean's surface with its immense mouth open, scooping up plankton. It tolerates the close approach of boats and divers, although it may break unexpectedly and contact with its rough, sandpapery skin can cause abrasions. Although often solitary, they are commonly encountered in schools ranging from 3 to 50 individuals. Sometimes, the members of the school swim in a line, head to tail, for unknown reasons. In winter, basking sharks dissapear, no-one knows where. It is speculated they shed their plankton-straining gill rakers at this time and hibernate on the bottom of the ocean until spring.

The radio button entries in the table above give realistic sizes of the species of that row. If you want a specimen outside that range, enter the weight in kg manually.

Marking the T? checkbox will give you the stats in template form with all costs listed, otherwise you get a stat sheet as for a character.

Marking the HR? checkbox will print the information using all my house rules. Otherwise, the stats will be as compatable with plain vanilla GURPS as possible (although several custom advantages and disadvantages will be present, see my Traits page).
