The sandtiger shark is also called the grey nurse shark and the raggie. It is a fierce looking beast with a docile temperment. Sandtigers live in coastal waters in tropical and subtropical areas. They eat fish, crustaceans, and squid. These sharks often congregate in large groups, and have been observed to cooperate to herd schooling fish into shallows so they could be attacked.
