Here are a series of illustrations I did for my friend Eve Forward as she was trying to flesh out and visualize the world for her novel Animist.

The next three drawings show the evolution of the ideas for a character in Animist known as the General. The top drawing is the final character concept, in a practice session while training rodent-people for the army.
